If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

On September 29, 2006 at 9:00 am, There was a gathering of saints in the garage of Sister Patricia McClendon to pray. The saints that were at this gatering were Brother and Dr. Aaron and Amalia Agnew and Brother and Sister Luis and Neiba Duarte. This was not an attempt to start a new church but just a prayer group. While in prayer over night for the next two days the Lord informed this group to start going out and compelling others to join their prayer group and look for a building. The saints decided to have Brother Agnew lead as Pastor and the Lord blessed them with a building after two weeks. This building of 1500 square feet was located at 2218 Worth Lane on the East side of Springdale, and it was donated to be used by these saints for free and after a few months in their honesty they still paid rent. They were closely connected to the Church Of God In Christ Inc., and they named themselves Spirit Of Truth from John 16:13. Being a ministry that preaches the gospel, sings, and teaches in both English and Spanish they were a rare group in Northwest AR. After being at this location for a year and having many other unbelievers come to Christ and join them, and also believers who noticed the work they were doing in the community joining them they upgraded to a larger facility at 505 E. Emma right in the middle of the city. After a year of being in this facility Pastor Agnew was called by God into another city to do the work of the Lord, and he called the State Headquarters of the Church Of God In Christ and had them send a new Pastor to take over the work they had began.
